All ed la Estancia organic polenta is made by the 4 households that own Buenaventura Farms, an Argentine farming business. the range of corn that we use to make our polenta is very completely different from the corn grown in other components of the planet. Our developing season is longer than in the northern hemisphere and our sub-tropical corn is specially suited for polenta. Argentine corn is greater in protein content and substantially lower in starch content than normal corn and can be milled to a finer consistency. Any recipe you make applying de la Estancia polenta will be smooth and creamy. The words de la Estancia is Spanish mean from the farm and de la Estancia organic polenta is genuinely from the farmer to the final customer. There are no middlemen. All the polenta in this bag originated on one particular single farm. We can trace the polenta in just about every bag back to the moment when the corn seeds were planted. de la Estancia polenta is not pre-cooked and is not processed but mainly because of its low starch content and fine grind it cooks naturally in just 1 minute! What is polenta? Polenta is a word applied in Italy and Latin America to mean a form of ground corn as properly as a cooked dish produced from the ground corn. Standard polenta is produced by adding dry polenta to simmering liquid, commonly in the ratio of 3 parts liquid to 1 element polenta and stirring on the heat till the polenta reaches a consistency like thick porridge. A range of liquids perform equally effectively as a base, which includes water, chicken broth, milk, beef broth and vegetable broth. Polenta makes an fantastic primary meal or side dish. It absorbs sauces and juices specially properly and is a substitute for pasta, cous cous and rice. Italians serve it straight from the pot with any pasta sauce they would serve with pasta. It can also be cooled to form a soft cake that can then be fried, baked or broiled. de la Estancia polenta is certified organic below the rules of the US Department of Agriculture. Our polenta is GMO-free of charge, chemical totally free and gluten cost-free. Our polenta is a kosher product. USDA organic. Certified organic by Argencert SRL. Product of Argentina.

Client Critiques

Hello. My name is Carl Mundt and I am the President of the company that produces de la Estancia organic polenta in Argentina - I'm definitely biased so you can take my comments with a grain of salt if you want.
A small more than 10 years ago, my wife and I decided to invest in the Argentine farming business enterprise. We located two young Argentine farmers to be our partners and we began to grow several crops. I also started out to learn some thing about farming - I was primarily interested in the crops themselves. Just after a handful of years I realized that the corn we were developing was quite numerous from the corn I was employed to seeing in the US and Europe. Argentine corn is a subtropical corn known as "long cycle" which meant that it grows in the fields for 6 months as opposed to the 3 month expanding cycle of widespread corn. It was also tremendously pleased corn given that the nights in the foothills of the Andes are cool and, apart from lots of rain and hot sunshine, corn likes cool nights. This special variety of corn is much harder, extra vividly yellow and has both a substantially lower starch content material and a larger protein level than corn from significantly more temperate climates.
Placing two and two with each other I realized that polenta made from Argentine corn would be far superior to polenta created from standard corn. It would be brighter yellow in color and it could be ground to a finer consistency. But most necessary, the low starch level meant that our polenta would cook in just 1 minute. It cooks so quick simply because there is fundamentally no starch to incorporate into the cooking liquid. That is what takes so lengthy in cooking other polentas.
I also want to emphasize that our polenta is not pre-cooked as is the case for the polenta in the tubes. Nor it is partially pre-cooked and then reconstituted as is the case for the "instant" polentas. De la Estancia polenta is pure ground corn that has never been processed or treated in any way. It just cooks quickly naturally.
I hope that you delight in preparing and serving our polenta as considerably as I have enjoyed bringing it to the US.

Scrumptious polenta, speedy and really uncomplicated to cook. We enjoyed it with garlic, olive oil, basil, and sundried tomatoes, and formed the leftovers into patties the subsequent morning which we fried in butter. A tasty, rib-sticking treat!
