I bought the King Arthur GF Pizza Crust mix at my local retailer attempting to figure out what to do for our weekly pizza/film night. The box is substantially heavy and there was lots of dry mix inside. The directions are quick to stick to but keep in mind that you will need a significant amount of time for the dough to rise. In all, it took virtually 3 hours to make pizza from start off to finish. One element getting the eggs need to have to be at room temperature. So, if you consider you are going to be creating pizza later, take the eggs out a couple hours prior to you commence or you'll be waiting on them to warm up.
The process was straightforward. Add a handful of ingredients, stick to the directions, and you can't go incorrect. One particular note - the box says that it tends to make two pizzas. It does, but if you enable the dough to rise according to directions, you are going to have two Extremely substantial pizzas. I shaped these into about 12-13" circles and they could have simply been stretched to accomodate a thinner, 16" crust x 2! The dough was Quite sticky to perform with. The recommendation on the box to oil your crust prior to spreading it is spot on. If you don't use enough oil, you will have a goopy, sticky mess all over your hands. I also put some oil on my hands for this step to alleviate any risk of goop and to support shape the dough. Now, according to the directions on the box, you will have deep dish style crusts. If you want thinner crusts, be confident to have pans huge adequate to spread the dough. You are going to want to pinch up the edges of the crust to creat the "lip" to catch your sauce and components.
The timing for the baking portions was proper on, no adjustments needed.
The flavor of the crust itself is quite bland. We sprinkled Italian seasonings and parmesan cheese on leading of the crust for the initial baking and it helped. Next time, we will mix the seasonings and cheese INTO the crust to give it a bit extra flavor. The texture does tend to be grainy, which is highlighted by the thickness of the crust. If the crust was thinner, it wouldn't have so substantially focus on the graininess. Our 12 year old son definitely objected to the grainy texture but he has specific tastes. This crust will NOT have the stretchy, doughy texture of a frequent crust. The texture is not unpleasant to those that are open to it.
All in all, will will obtain this once again for our pizza night with the understanding that we will need to have to make a couple of adjustements to our preparation and allow much more time.

King Arthur is known for their good quality, and this doesn't disappoint. Is it Specifically like wheat dough? No, but I didn't expect it to be. It mixes well in my bread machine, and I can get eight private-sized crusts out of a single mix. I have made crust on my own, but this is wonderful for when I just want to take a slightly a lot easier route.
