About the Brand
Bob Moore's secret to life may perhaps just be "perform hard and hold it simple." Living this philosophy, Bob actually puts his nose to the grindstone just about every day. Bob's Red Mill Natural Foods is an Oregon-based company that utilizes straight forward, old-planet engineering to mill hundreds of all-natural complete grain goods.
Bob's Red Mill is dedicated to the manufacturing of natural foods in the natural way. In their personal words: "With all the sophisticated knowledge of recent times, no machinery has but been created that grinds grains into flour fairly as properly as our flint-difficult quartz millstones quarried in France and made use of by discriminating millers considering the fact that early Roman times."
"Our properly-dressed (sharpened) sets of millstones turn the highest high quality wheat into a finer, better baking bread flour than all the hammer mills, steel roller mills, steel buhr mills, or pulverizers ever built! These slow turning millstones grind the bran, endosperm, and germ (containing its nutritious wheat germ oil) into flour in a cool natural way, making a more assimilable food."
Bob's Red Mill stone grinds all well-known and most uncommon grains into flours and meals on its over 100-year-old mills. They mix them into an astounding array of exceptional cereals, pancake and waffle mixes, machine and hand-produced bread mixes, quick bread mixes, gluten-100 % free mixes, and specialty grain items.

Buyer Evaluations

This flour operates fine for specific factors, based on your taste preferences. It has a pretty powerful aftertaste (sort of bitter/sour) because of the bean flour. Therefore it is fairly robust in plain breads and rolls. If you do not mind that, then very good for you! (My husband is fairly sensitive and can not tolerate the bean flour or taste fairly properly.) I discovered it functions superior in cookies, chocolate or spice cakes, brownies, banana bread, and pizza dough. Because these baked goods are made with other powerful flavors, they help mellow out the bean taste which can be pretty overpowering if you don't have a thing with which to temper it. I like the consistency of this flour superior than the rice flour blend I've also been implementing but once again, think of your taste preferences and what you'll be baking/cooking with it.

This flour stinks of Garbanzo beans, and I like Garbanzo beans on any other occasion, but for some reason the smell is so sturdy when ground, I have learned to read the labels of GF goods and if beans are the initial ingredient I will not but it. My guess is some men and women are even more sensitive to it then other individuals, it almost tends to make me gag when the flour is wet. I do have friends who do not thoughts it or don't notice it, but me and my non Celiac boyfriend think it is nasty. Since we adore to bake, I have found that equal components white rice flour and Tapioca flour with a teaspoon of xanthem gum function fantastic in spot of flour.
